Oriental Rug Cleaning Time

April 20, 2016

Now that spring has arrived it is time to start planning which of your rugs need to be cleaned. A careful examination of your oriental rugs might reveal soil and spots from every day use over the fall and winter months.

Two things should be considered when you are planning to have your rugs cleaned.

It is wise to turn your rug periodically so that the traffic patterns will be more even. Also, when your rug is rolled up to be taken out of your home for cleaning check the condition of your padding. If it is leaving traces of dust on the floor or if it seven to ten years old it is wise to replace it with a new pad which will give the rug the protection it needs from foot traffic.

Best to all,
Dee
